With identical 2 litre turbo 265bhp JCW cars the Mini Challenge has in recent years raised its profile to become one of the stand out one make championships on the UK National Scene. In 2018 The Series will support 6 British GT Championship Rounds and 2 MSVR “Mini Festival” events.

Jac Maybin

It’s finally a relief to confirm that I will be competing in the JCW Mini Challenge for 2018. Having tested various formula since last summer I feel this series is the perfect step for my motorsport career. Joining a proven team like ExcelR8 Motorsport will make it a promising and positive year. I have to thank Silverstone Paint Technology & Angle Consulting Ltd for their support. I truly can’t wait to go testing!

Justina Williams

ExcelR8 Motorsport Team Principal

We are absolutely delighted to have Jac on board. He might be young in years but he has a good head on his shoulders. He works really well with the team and is a very quick peddler. Really looking forward to working with Jac in 2018 and beyond.

Jac Maybin Management

I am extremely proud to see Jac graduate to National Level Car Racing following many successful years in Karting. To join forces with ExcelR8 Motorsport is a fabulous opportunity. An incredible amount of work has gone on behind the scenes to make this happen and without the help of all Jac’s very loyal supporters this would not be possible. We look forward to testing and further announcements in the run up to Oulton Park at Easter.

I’ve been mentoring Jac for the last year and there's no doubt that he's one of the upcoming young stars, he might be young but he has been in the sport for a long time and that makes him not only a very complete driver but a great ambassador.
