Jacob Thomas wins British Boccia Championships 08:19 - 26th October 11 At the recent British Boccia Championships, 16 year old Jacob Thomas won the BC3 category. He was using the new carbon fibre ramp, designed and produced by Angle Consulting Ltd.
The carbon fibre ramps also resulted in 3rd and 4th places for Jess Hunter and Ryan Paladino.
Congratulations to all concerned - a fantastic effort and this bodes well for London 2012, where our athletes go into competition knowing that they have cutting edge equipment that is not available to any other team.
The athletes will be in action later this week at the Europa Cup in Norway.
Funded by UK Sport and designed and produced by Angle Consulting, the ramp uses technology originally developed in the Formula 1 and Aerospace industries.
Produced exclusively for the GB Boccia squad, they are lightweight and accurate.
Working together with Alpha Composites and Orion Machining, this technology has been implemented at an affordable level with immediate positive results.

UK Legends in the USA15:08 - 11th November 10 UK Legends drivers Simon Belcher, John Mickel and Dean Brace all fared well in the Legends World Championships, held last weekend at Infineon Raceway in California.
Simon Belcher finished 4th in the the Pro Class, followed by John Mickel in 5th place.
Dean Brace finished in 3rd place in the Semi Pro class.
The Angle Consulting set-up wheels for Legends made the trip out to the US with Simon Belcher, used to set-up his car on the way to 4th place.
These wheels will be on display at the coming PRI Show in Orlando.

Lawrence Davey 2010 Legends Champion - UK19:03 - 1st November 10 A thrilling duel over two days at Brands Hatch, between Stephen Treherne, (Handy Motorsport, sponsored by KARCHER Chemtec Center) and Lawrence Davey, (Smart Motorsport, sponsored by Getanewvan.com) saw Lawrence Davey emerging victorious, crowned the 2010 UK Legends Champion.
Going into the event, Davey held a slim lead over Treherne. In difficult conditions Treherne emerged victorious on Saturday, although Davey still held a small lead. Driving faultlessly on the Sunday, Davey was untouchable, taking the Championship.

LEGENDS SET UP WHEELS TO BE SHOWN AT BRANDS HATCH20:37 - 12th October 10 The latest product from Angle Consulting, set-up wheels designed specifically for Legends cars, will be available for viewing at the final rounds of this years Legends Championship, held at Brands Hatch Circuit on 30 and 31 October.
Used to excellent effect by the KARCHER sponsored Handy Motorsport team, the complete production system will be used by Handy Motorsport at the final round of the championship.
LEGEND WINS - SET UP BY ANGLE CONSULTING11:25 - 27th September 10 Simon Belcher, racing the KARCHER Legends car, supported by KARCHER CENTER CHEMTEC finished first in last weekends race at Donington Park, with 470 points.
Simons team-mate, Stephen Treherne, finished in second place with 460 points, handing the Handy Motorsport due a memorable 1-2 finish.
Angle Consulting, working together with Simon Belcher, has designed and developed a method of setting up a Legends Car, based on Formula 1 and NASCAR technology, at an affordable price.
Simons car was set-up using this method at Donington, using a pre-production version of the system.
Production versions of this RACE WINNING TECHNOLOGY will be available later this year.

WORLD FIRST FOR ANGLE CONSULTING, PENTATHLON GB and UK SPORT07:30 - 12th August 09 A new, state-of-the-art, shooting range, developed with funding from UK Sport, will form the centrepiece of the action when the Modern Pentathlon World Championships reach their climax at Crystal Palace later this week.
Angle Consulting, working with Pentathlon GB and UK Sport, has developed a shooting range which is lightweight, can be used outside in all weathers, is easy to assemble and conforms to required safety standards.
Peter Hart, Chief Executive of Pentathlon GB, said: "We're delighted with the shooting range. It's undoubtedly one of the best of its kind in the world and it will play a central role in this weeks World Championships, as well as in future competitions."
The shooting range was designed and built using technology and materials often used in Formula One.

UK Sport was looking for cutting edge design and original solutions to sporting problems, with the express purpose of helping athletes win medals. For this reason, Angle Consulting has tended to work exclusively with Elite Athletes - proven medal winners, or very strong contenders for medals.
It is important to appreciate that there can be no detailed description of the equipment designed for UK Sport by Angle Consulting, as this would potentially compromise the competitive advantage that UK Sport is striving to give Britain's elite athletes.
Work to date has dealt with the development of training and measurement devices for Cycling, Bob Skeleton and Wheelchair Racing.
In all cases, solutions were carried through from concept to realisation, design through to manufacture.
In each of the above sports, the philosophy and discipline developed during a decade in Formula 1 comes to the fore. Cutting edge solutions are designed and manufactured fast, accurately and repeatedly.
In one case, a new, custom, design for the Bob Skeleton team was manufactured in the UK, packed and delivered for testing in Lillehammer barely 2 days later.
